Find God’s Calling For Your Life
Vocatio is a fun opportunity for high school students entering grades nine through 12 to participate in Bible study, worship and discussion about vocation. This six-day retreat on Concordia Seminary’s campus encourages participants to find God’s calling for their lives through studying theology, learning from Seminary professors and engaging in thoughtful conversation. Throughout the week, Vocatio participants engage in several different exciting opportunities, including:
Students participate in a Servant Event. Past events have included work at St. Louis area congregations and the Saxon Lutheran Memorial in Frohna, Mo.
Participants attend daily chapel services and Sunday morning worship in the Chapel of St. Timothy and St. Titus on the Seminary campus.
Students learn about the Concordia University System and the programs they offer to prepare students to do Christ’s work in the world.
St. Louis Attractions
Participants also have the opportunity to explore the St. Louis area by visiting the City Museum, Ted Drewes Frozen Custard, the Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis or other landmarks.
Registration and Travel
The registration deadline for the 2020 event is July 17. Registration is now open.
A $150 registration fee to attend is the only charge for high school students, in addition to travel costs. Participants are responsible for their own transportation, but scholarships are available to ensure that travel costs do not prevent students from attending. Please contact the admissions office if you would like to apply for a scholarship.
If arriving by air, bus or train, please provide your full itinerary as the Seminary provides complimentary shuttles from the airport, bus and train terminals.Register
