The Bible, Theology and Christ-figures in Film
The cinema has long “borrowed” narratives and themes from the Bible and Christian theology, often to tell its own unique stories. At the four-week Fall Lay Bible Institute, Assistant Professor of Exegetical Theology Rev. David Lewis will lead participants through an examination of American films and filmmakers, and show how they shape our views as people and communities. The institute will explore ways Christians should approach and interpret such films and identify ways the films can be used to more clearly share the Gospel.
- Four sessions held on Wednesdays, Oct. 3, 10, 17 and 24, 2018.
